FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL

Montag and faber plan to make more copies of books. After that they plan yo plant books inside firefighters houses. I think this will lead to an uprising of people who still read books and hide them.

BREAKING THE LAW

The only time it is right to break the law is when no one isnt getting affected in a negative way and its. for a positive cause or when there is a good reason to break the law.

So this guy goes for a walk

What happened to Ray Bradbury in real life while he was going for a walk affected the story because there was never anyone walking and this created a feel of loneliness. The plot of the story is affected because in real life he gets stopped by a cop and in the story the same thing happens except that he gets taken and leaves behind all the empty streets amd buildings.

MY AUTHOR, MY HERO

The author I chose was Gary Paulsen because his books take me to other places with the descriptions of the setting. I enjoy to read books that do this.

Henry Thoreau

“ Not when are we lost do we begin to undertand ourselves.”
 What Thoreau means is that when we are by ourselves we start to think about our choices and start to think about our life.

“Go confidently in your direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
Thoreau is telling us to follow our dreams and have confidence in yourself.

“Thank God men cannot fly and lay waste the sky as the earth.”
Men have polluted and messed up the land and Henry is saying thank god they cant fly because they would mess up the sky even more.

Essay

“Young Goodman Brown” by Nathaniel Hawthorne and “a Dream Within a Dream” share many similarities. In both stories they live life not knowing if what they are living is a dream. Young Goodman Brown saw all the people that he saw good and that gave him faith in the world turn out to be devil worshipers. He couldn’t tell if what he lived was a dream so he now saw all the people that gave him faith different for the rest of his life. In a Dream Within a Dream the author doesn’t known if the life he lived was a dream. In both of the stories there are things that represent other thing. For example Young Goodman Browns wife represents his wife and the faith he has. In a Dream Within a Dream the author sees that he isnrunning out of time. This is represented by the grains of sand slipping out of his hand and he is not able to save any pieces. The difference is that Young Goodman Brown dies without knowing if what happened was a dream so it was a sad death. In a dream within a dream the author can still live his life in a good way.

The Making of an Essay

While writing my essay I had to think about how the hacker was feeling about what he was happening to him. I had to see throgh both perspectives to fully understand what was being said in the story.

Conscience of a Hacker

      The author of  “Conscience of a Hacker” wanted us to understand that people will criticize you for doing the things you love. The author says ,“We explore ... and you call us criminal. We seek after knowledge and you call us criminals.” what I think he is trying to say is that the people who are calling him a criminal don’t understand what it means to be a hacker. 

   

       

      

HOW I LEARN

I try to keep my important school papers organized by putting my papers in my binder that is diveded into 4 subjects by dividers. I manage my time by doing my hw right when I get home so I could have the rest of the day to myself. When I learn things i try to go over it more than once so I wont forget it. 

The Socratic Method

 I think that the socratic method is a good thing. It can help students compare what they are learning to what is happening in their daily lives.

The right for your opinion

 From what I read I understood that you have to respect other peoples opinions. You also have to accept the fact that your opinion isn’t always right and that there are different perspectives.
